Kentucky

We would like to thank karaoke for opening!

Norman? Yes mother?

Southgate or Bates Motel?

The inventor of the machine gun was born here and still haunts the place apparently. At least they know that Ten High is a true bourbon!

Minneapolis

Prison toilet or rock club? You decide. The room next door is where they filmed Purple Rain. I went in and performed the scenes word for word to a rapt audience of me.

Philly to Wisconsin?

Not sure what happened between the Tin Angel in Philly and elk jerky and the orange moose in Wisconsin, but I will let you know as soon as possible.

St Pat's in Vienna,Va

Darla dry cleaned her hair with Psssssssssst, the lord shined a light on my pint of cider, and we rocked out to ACDC. Just like all the kids celebrate St Pat's!

Yes, that is a bug on Daniel's lettuce. And then Darla is modeling the hole I put in the wall with my butt at Vinyl a couple of years ago while touring with Biv. Finally we have what seems to be sweeping the nation as the newest art form/ means of gainful employment. This guy wasn't nearly as good as the guy up the street, but his shortcomings made him all the more entertaining. Sadly, I stopped filming before he starting performing wrestling moves on the poor, unsuspecting sign. Off the turnbuckle!!!!

In Birmingham we saw a rocket, had some fine dining, played on the news on top of the hill, and created a lovely still life in our dressing room at the Workplay Theater. Had a great show, and as always was a joy to see Davy on sound. Hope all is going well with his innards.

Josh Hoge spring tour

After a quick flight from Charleston to Charlotte to Columbus to Detroit to Nashville, I was greeted by this glorious sight at the baggage claim. I somehow knew my luggage would be on this one. Went straight to rehearsal from the airport and then to a lovely cookout at Josh's brother Will's house. Great to see Will and the family. Will is looking great and is hitting the road soon. You should all go see him.

We played at the Cave in Chapel Hill. Shop Dog hung out on the bar for the whole show. She was much more tame than her owner. I realized when we were pulling in that I played my first out of town gig ( I think at the Cave, or somewhere right next door) at the same time that Darla, our drummer,  was being born. Does that make me old or her young?

Slow Runner eats well on tour. Yes, that is fried chicken AND a country ham biscuit!
Played in San Diego with Crowfield. Had an awesome time. Met some great musicians. Here are the highlights!

We stayed with some friends in NC and, Yes, that is a framed picture of Eric Roberts in a white dinner jacket. The roosters were also a nice touch!

Nola, end of tour blowout

Everyone in the Broussard camp was an absolute joy to tour with. Some of the nicest guys and best musicians I have had the honor to get to know. Ending in New Orleans was a fine choice indeed. Tasty cafe au lait and beignets! Great food! My favorite secret bar just off bourbon which seems to change names every few years, but doesn't change anything else! Sadly those plaster legs swinging from the facade of Big Daddy's seem to have been washed away in the floods, but life goes on. Tune in for more Josh Hoge touring in the spring!!!

Tulsa and beyond

The fabulous Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, fancy hotels, fancy dinners w/ advnture, and for some reason there were a lot more bars on the Arkansas side.

Maybe I ate too many chicken wings, or maybe I had too much to drink, or maybe I watched too much football, but this happened.

Aspen

Oxygen in the green room is a good thing at altitude!

A Smattering of Dead Things Found in Hotels and Diners

Mangy Moose Teton Village

Yes, That is the actual mangy moose. And yes the roads were that scary. Thankfully the bet that I was willing to accept , because of it's monetary siren song, to eat a rocky mountain oyster was thwarted by the fact that they no longer sell them.

In Boise, I went and saw a movie and cried, went team bowling and won handily ( mostly due to the amazing skills of Calvin and Shocker) and watched a building burn from my hotel. Who knew?

Seatle

In Seatle one can see mermaids selling coffee, really old markets, flying fish, and tall pointed, but pointless, buildings. And the Show Box is near all but the last!

Vancouver

Well, they put the dogs on us, searched the van, and everthing short of a cavity search at the border crossing, but it only took an hour and a half, so that's cool. Strangely the only pics I got were Marc in the creepy glasses we found in the dressing room and our triumphant return to the States. Oh yeah, and we got some Tim Horton's. Yum!

Portland!

We stayed by the convention center! But there was a cool MLK  monument and a great river walk and we ate a fantastic meal at Mama Mias. And after the show drinks at the mighty Doug Fir and then karaoke at the Galaxy across the street, " You can say money but it won't get you too far, get you too fa-ar"
