When driving from Salt Lake to California you must stop in Vegas

and eat sushi and cook beef on hot rocks and ride in a giant limo and drink crown and go see Zumanity. I'm sorry, but it is the only way to get there.

Mountains are big in Salt Lake City, whether you make it to the gig or not. Then you drive a long way and get to California.

Colorado

Played a great show at the Toad Tavern and then had a day off just outside Denver. Did some laundry, watched the Golden Globes ( who knew La Quinta had won so many?), and then woke up to lots of snow. The drive was awful and we did'nt make it to the Salt Lake City show on time to play. But at least we did'nt die on the open road!

Kansas City

Kansas City was great! We couldn't smoke, but at least they had a safe way to get rid of our dirty drug needles. Sadly they did not provide a grill for us to cook the 15 pounds of elk meat I bought.

Dallas

Dallas was a good time. The joy was short lived and bitter sweet as we had to say goodbye to our long time drummer (he was with us two whole shows) Jason Dering. Wish we had him with us for the rest of the run, but at least we have the hazing rituals and teaching of our thousand and one in jokes to spring on the "new guy" in Kansas City.

Day Off

Uh...This pic was supposed to accompany the last post . It would have made more sense.

There was also a bra pad? breast enhancer? I don't know what you call it, stuck onto a painting in our hotel room, which house keeping seemed to have missed. I would like to think that it has been there a week or two.

Josh Hoge Tour Houston

The first night of the tour. Houston, Texas. House of Blues.
Anywhere that Queensryche plays is OK with me. Tonight we had had Sons of William as the second act. It was great to see old pal Joe Stark and meet the rest of the band. I
enjoyed them thoroughly, and you should too. here They will be with us tomorrow night in Dallas too.

Our show went fairly well considering we had never played together, had no rehearsal, and a two minute soundcheck.

After Dallas the line up will be Josh Hoge, then Jessie Baylin, and Marc Broussard. Marc and his band are amazing live and I look forward to watching and learning for the next month. I hope we will be coming to a town near you.
